MERMEC technology for the safety of the Apulian railway network

August 5, 2020 - MERMEC continues its work for the safety of the Italian and Apulian railway network, home region and headquarters of the company. In August, Ferrovie del Sud Est (Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane) put the first section of Bari–Putignano line into service, equipped with our ATP technology. MERMEC & ANGELSTAR teams have been doing a significant job by supplying, deploying and commissioning trackside and trainborne SCMT systems, which allow to overcome the existing speed restrictions and to run a faster and safer passenger service.
